Kente Tribe Grandeur was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves access to real Bonwire Kente, woven by master craftsmen, at fair prices, with the care of a team that lives and breathes Ghanaian textile heritage.
Our Story
Kente Tribe Grandeur is Ghana's first and only shop dedicated entirely to authentic Bonwire Kente fabric. We are not a general fabric store with a Kente shelf on the side. Kente is what we do, all day, every day.
We work directly with weavers in Bonwire, the historic heartland of Kente in the Ashanti Region, to bring you cloth that is hand-woven on traditional looms using premium silk yarns. Every strip carries the colour, rhythm, and symbolism that have made Kente a living art form for generations.

Birthed in Bonwire
Bonwire is where Kente began. According to Ashanti oral tradition, two friends, Kurugu and Watah, studied the weaving patterns of a spider and brought that knowledge back to their village. What emerged became Kente: a cloth of prestige, storytelling, and identity.
